Hi Group 3!
I would like to 1st mention how great you all did on your Science Fair projects! The presentations were excellent, your board were informative, and your snacks were yummy! Awesome!
As you know, tomorrow is Look-Alike Day; you can come to school looking like anyone you want. Someone from history, your favorite book, or maybe even your favorite singer! (No Lady Ga Ga's please!) Have fun!
Please remember we do not have school on Monday- it's Patriot's Day. Our next spelling test will be on 4/26. That's a week from Patriot's Day.
Enjoy the good weather, and keep up the good work!
--John

....and we're back.
I hope everyone had a great Spring vacation. I hope the weather was good everywhere you visited. Like a few of you, I spent some time in Florida, and was able to find some sun there.
We have less than 50 school days left in the year. Can you believe that. It's time to finish up the year on a high note- do the best work you can do, and show me what you're capable of. Come to school prepared, be ready for class, and focus on your work. You can do it!
Science Fair is coming soon. I hope everyone is working on their projects. You need to present your project on a poster board, and have a snack that in some way goes with your topic. We'll be speaking more about this in class.
Have a great day, and I'll see you tomorrow.
--John

Hi Group Three!
I'm really happy with the email I just received from Alison, I thought I might share it with you:
It sounds like there's been a real change, and I'm proud of all of you....now if we can just work on those "goofy moments"....
Just a few reminders. If you are planning on ordering books from Scholastic, make sure your order forms are in Laurie's hands tomorrow! Also, if you have accepted the 6 hours of reading for a 6 Flags ticket, those contracts need to be completed and turned in on Monday.
Also, thanks for keeping the room, and hall looking good for our open house!
See you tomorrow,
John

Hey John,
This kids were great today as we carved our “cement” (plaster with sand). They even helped clean up.
There were a few goofy moments and a few needed some direction, but overall, it was much better class than usual.
Cheers!

Hi Group Three,
I heard you guys and girls had a good afternoon with Pam today. Glad to hear it. As I was passing back your spelling tests today (along with recording your grades) I noticed a few of you of were slipping on your spelling grades. But- I also saw a few people who really made a change for the better. Nice job for those who have been really putting forth the effort, and those of you (and you know who you are!) who slipped last week, please remember that your spelling and Wordly Wise count as a good part of your writing grade.
I will change our classroom jobs tomorrow- I'm sorry we didn't get to it today!
See you then,
John

You Can't Always Get What You Want....
...but if you try some times, you get what you need.
Does anyone know who said that? Your parents might!
Hi Group Three.
First off- thanks for a great art class today! I spoke to Alison and she said it was HUGE improvement from last week. Wow, a great Latin class with Joseph, and a great art class with Alison? Nice work!
I just wanted to mention a few things about our new seating arrangement. I know some of you are thrilled and some of you aren't so happy with the new seats. You know me, nothing is ever permanent, I may change things around tomorrow. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll adapt to your new arrangement and you'll be thinking of them as your "regular seats" soon enough.
Get started on your 6 Flags reading tonight!
See you tomorrow,
John

Yes? S'no? Maybe?
Well, it looks like the meteorologists are making up for their snow blunder last week! It's really coming down right now. I hope all of you make it home safely today, and get a chance to play outside when you get home!
We have a little over two weeks left before our March vacation, and I'm really hoping to see some great things from Group 3. I know you lost all three of your stars today, but I'm thinking maybe that'll be a reminder to work extra hard tomorrow to keep all three. Good luck, I know you can do it!
Stay warm, stay dry!
